100 Days Of Awe: Day – Twenty Five – Bye Bye Edenbridge

Day 25: Bye Bye EdenbridgeIMAG3893The final day of Alchemy 4 Success with William Whitecloud at Commonwork organic farm, Bore Place, Edenbridge, Kent and we are embracing our stories, manifesting synergy and finding out the true purpose and power of vulnerability.  It is a choca block day pierced with the intensity.  The intensity of peeling away personal layers and of bracing ourselves for a return to civilisation.  Commonwork has proved to be a truly magical backdrop for the work we have been doing.  In practical terms it is only a matter of miles from the M25 and the tight coil of urban London but in spiritual terms it is place that can only be found through the umblical twist and turns of cow paths that slip slide you over the lip of an adjacent dimension.   Five days feels like five minutes. We are already saying goodbye to this shamanic land but now without embodying just a little of its living, breathing, organic, earthy vibration.

100 Days of Awe is a playful project I set up to bring my attention to awe in my daily life. I see awe as wonder, a mixture of amazement and respect.  I expect the experience of awe to be about perception shifting awareness and that demands a reframing of some sort.  I am excited to see what will awe me on this journey.

100 Days Of Awe: Day Twenty Four – The Sacrifice Of The Humble Potato

Day 24: The Sacrifice of The Humble Potato

IMAG3918Day 4 of Alchemy 4 Success from Commonworks organic farm, Bore Place, Edenbridge, Kent.   William Whitecloud continues to reveal alchemical tools for our kit bags.  There is an ease and a simplicity to these tools that belie their power and the focus that is required to wield them.  These are tools that change the lead of our egos to the gold of our hearts but in very practical terms deliver a tangible reality and end results that are aligned with our souls.  We are learning that our concept of life, our perception is a defense against the truth which keeps us separate from our hearts and what we love.  Like the mists of Avalon perception is pervasive, invasive, seductive and delusional, it is the water we swim in, everywhere and invisible to us.  It is futile to try and des rid of the mists we can but orientate in the dark to the beacons of our true end results of our souls.  We are learning how to create and discern true end results from false end results and with the help of a straw and a potato we experience a microcosm of learning.

Try this for yourself – get a big fat raw potato and a plastic straw.  Now IMAGINE the straw through the potato – not so much the process of putting the straw through the potato but the fact that it is already there.  Keep imagining this and take the obvious action to make this into a reality.  Could you do it?  If not what did you experience while you were trying and afterwards? Observe your thoughts and now REIMAGINE the straw through the potato.  You may need to go around a few times to work your imagination muscle but it is possible to do this.  The learning on the way will show you  how you approach creating the things you love in your life.  Do you just fantasise and not actually go for them?  Do you get angry and give you, do you get determined and try harder?  Remember this is an exercise in IMAGINING the end result has already happened and keep imagining it until you have take the action to make that happen.  There are no other tricks to this.

100 Days Of Awe: Day Twenty Two – Living Life In Colour

Day 22: Living Life In Colour

IMAG3867Tulip

Day Two of Alchemy 4 Success with William Whitecloud at Commonworks organic farm, Bore Place, Edenbridge in Kent. We are in a slice of heaven, blue washed skies, sunshine and surrounded by the joyous, rambling growth of Spring that nourishes and energises us in between deep explorations of the world of alchemy. Today we discovered we have personalities but we are not our personalities and by taking an intuitive look at the Enneagram, an ancient model of personality typing, we got to see inside the machine, to wonder at the intricacies of our egoic creations and to experience the impact of it in our exercises. Shocking, painful, awe inspiring and freeing all at the same time. Our assimilation, Pleasantville, an exquisite and underappreciated study of life lived from the black and white orientation and limitations of our egoic need to fix and know life, contrasted with a life lived in colour when we can each embrace the part of ourselves that we deny so we can transcend our personalities and be in the glorious mystery of it all.

100 Days Of Awe: Day Twenty One – Welcome To The Real World

Day 21: Welcome To The Real World

This morning I landed in a little bit of bucoli heaven at Commonworks organic farm and sustainable solutions study centre at Bore Place, Edenbridge, Kent, England.  I am here for a 5 day immersion to study the Alchemy 4 Success with William Whitecloud.  We are working with the premise that to be who we truly are we have to wake up and keep ourselves awake.  With a 6am start to get here this was a very real physical challenge, poignantly mirroring the metaphorical challenge.  This is not a course for the faint hearted as we grappled with deciphering the patterns of belief in our consciousness, the lead, the raw material for the alchemical process. Sleepy eyed and stuffed to the gills with food and the fodder of learning we finish our day with a powerful assimiliation of the day one of our journey watching The Matrix.  I have to admit that I have never been drawn to this movie and the only time I have ever tried to watch it I have fallen asleep but as I see the flickering green letters spider across the screen I get the feeling tonight will be different when I see that they spell out “Are you awake?”

Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.
Morpheus: I’m trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You’re the one that has to walk through it.
